The Bluefin Tuna JC Mackintosh
JC Mackintosh is a company formed by a group of professionals with over 20 years of experience in the sector, specializing in Mediterranean bluefin tuna fishing. The Strait of Gibraltar, near Tarifa (Cádiz), witnesses the passage of bluefin tuna as they migrate to the Mediterranean to spawn. This area is particularly rich in fishing and has a long tradition of this species, which is now finally so highly regarded and deservedly recognized. Our specialty is bluefin tuna, and we focus exclusively on fishing in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic Ocean, an area known for its finest qualities.

Why a webinar for chefs and restaurateurs?
For years now, trade associations, producers, distributors, and trade fair organizations have invited chefs and restaurateurs to events limited to a limited number of people, in specific geographic areas and according to availability, to discover new products and producers, share experiences and needs, learn about new developments, and stay up-to-date on the food market.
However, new technologies are changing the world. Digital is not a sector, a business. It is an element, like electricity, paper, or the wheel. An element that touches all our activities, enabling new processes, new business models, and generating innovation.
The spread of the internet and social media technologies have changed the consumer purchasing process. We've moved from the paradigm of information scarcity, on which sellers have thrived for years, making it essential to every purchasing process, to the paradigm of information abundance, where the scarce resource is "attention" (attention economics, as Herbert Simon defined it).
Together with Antonio Vasile , a seafood expert and co-founder of Conkilia , and a 30-year-old point of reference for leading Italian chefs and many global fish producers, we decided to create a community of producers and chefs . We wanted to engage producers from around the world, chefs, and fish market experts to learn, share, understand, plan, and exchange useful information, from fishing to supply to the end consumer.
Industry professionals need to meet; they don't want filters or information asymmetries. They want to learn and invent, manage, and plan, thanks to the availability of new information, without barriers or limits . They want a direct relationship with manufacturing companies , even before they get close to the product.
Chefs must respond to the new end consumer, who seeks new, differentiating, unique experiences for every moment of his life.
That's why we are and will always be online, available, like in this webinar!
